Another quickie post

Yeah. Apologies first are in order. But I'm just seriously too exhausted recently to even paint my nails. It's been naked for the 2 weeks and I only finally got myself together to do up a simple stamping manicure.

Which, in the end was a waste of time. It got torn apart 2 days later. Major clean-up in progress now that the renovations to my new place is done. At least I got some pictures for the blog before it ko-ed to washing liquids and all.

The 7th Lunar Month has started!

So the Hungry Ghost Festival has started! For those of you who have not heard of this, it's the Asian version of Halloween. Except it's a full month long where the Gates of Hell are thrown open for those in the afterlife to visit.

Heh. I chose something oriental for today's manicure, but not because of the festival. It was just something I had wanted to do ever since I laid eyes again on this particular Revlon polish. Somehow, the image came straight to my mind, and I just had to do it once.

It was a cloudy, after rain morning when I grabbed these pics. But it was the perfect kind of weather to showcase the lovely silver-pink-green multi-chrome Revlon.

By the way, I'm now really in the thick of my renovations. So posting is really becoming an issue. Hopefully the renovations will be done soon (especially since my budget has been completely busted through its roof). I do hope to resume regular blogging by October (Please! I wanna do Halloween manicures!) but for now, it'd be ad-hoc posts k! So please bear with me!

Happy Birthday to Me!

It's my birthday today!

Ok, I didn't go and paint the town (or the nails) red. Instead I had myself a really good meal with good friends. Spent some time on my own as well since I really needed some peace and solitude. And that included some much needed nail art time!

Well, at least it feels like its been a while since I had tried to do something decent!

Unfortunately, it's been rainy these past couple of days. So no bright sunlight pictures (which is a shame since I really, really liked this set of nails!)

Revlon Starry Pink

I actually had pictures of some swatches done from a while back. Just that I never got around to editing them for the blog. Well, at least not until the recent PH.

Happy 52nd Birthday Singapore!

Apologies! I've been tied up with quite a few things at work and with my renovations! My new place is coming along quite nicely even though there were a couple of delays here and there. I have to say though, it's been so busy for me that I don't even have time for my nails. A good friend even commented that it was the first time he's seen me without polish on!

But I just had to pull a fast one today! It's Singapore's 52nd birthday!
And so I just did a really quick stamp this morning in my beloved country's colours. In fact, so fast that I smudged a couple of them while top-coating. Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of time to re-do so it's just make do!

Bliz Gradient

Ok, I was too lazy and decided on a quickie. It's just a quick dry-brushed on gradient (over the earlier Revlon Graceful) with a very aptly named Revlon polish called Blizzard Berry.

It looks better IRL than in the photos though.

Revlon Couple that I'm Not Breaking Up With

Ok, I admit. I was at fault. I was heartless. I thought about giving you up before really working it out. But I am remorseful now. I know how well you fit me now. I'm not breaking up with you anymore. Don't worry. You're going back into The Stash right this minute.

Instead, maybe its this bottle of HK Girl that I need to break up with now...

Geometry Love

I've got to say, this is one set of nail stamping that I am SO COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH. (ahem, excuse the shouting).

It caught a lot of attention from other people around me too and colleagues were astounded to know that this one was easy-peasy to do,

"Yeah, it looks complicated and like it would take a lot of time. But this one is really easy! It's only stamping!"
*cue incredulous looks from colleagues*

Girly Bits Cu Blue

Here's yet another one that's been dug out from the depths of a long forgotten box:

Girly Bits Cu Blue,
3 coats + HK Girl TC.

Royal blue jelly with copper bits in them.
Because it was jelly, it was a little of a hassle to get the coat even. The third was definitely required.
