Brand Week: Burnished Swirls

Heh. Just as I finished writing about my complaint about the poor weather,
the sun decided to make an appearance after a rainy morning.
So I managed to get pictures after all of this 4-day old manicure:
Items used:
Estee Lauder Explosif,
Estee Lauder Metallic Sage,
and swirl vinyls from Vibrant Vinyls on Etsy.

Brand Week: Estee Lauder Blue Blood

Here's one of the polishes that was used in yesterday's nail art post.
I haven't been able to get pictures of the other one yet though because of the rain.
In fact, even though I only have 6 Estee Lauders to get through for Brand Week,
I'm wondering if the weather would even allow me to do so.
In fact, I did a really nice nail art using vinyls with a couple of other Estee Lauders,
but never got to get pictures of it at despite wearing it for 4 days!
I thought it was a real pity.
Estee Lauder Blue Blood,
3 coats + HK Girl TC
Blackened blue shimmer.
This polish was a little on the thin side but nothing too difficult to work with.

I don't know why I got it though.
It's not something that's particularly unique,
and I probably have tons of blackened blue shimmers.

Oh well. I know where it's going to go ~ The Purge.
Which reminds me. I have to get started on that.
It's been a while since I've done one.

Brand Week: Estee Lauder Triangled

Kicking off April's Brand Week with a nail art post.
And as you can obviously tell from the "oh-so-creative" title,
April's Brand Week will be featuring Estee Lauder.
Please pardon the dust patch on my index nail.
For some reason, I didn't see that until I was back in the office after the photo-taking.
The Estee Lauder polishes used:
Blue Blood and Explosif.

Elianto #1 Alice Blue

I realised I've neglected most of my Asian brands recently.
I will be remedying that soon.
Well. Ok, likely May's Brand Week
since I've already started on April's before the realisation.
But here's one from the archives:
Elianto #1 Alice Blue,
4 coats + HK Girl TC.
Alice Blue was extremely sheer.
You can see how even at 4 coats,
my nails were still pretty visible.
The shimmer is however, gorgeous.
I can see this one as a topper,
even if I haven't tried it as one yet.
I might just do it if I end up featuring Elianto for May's Brand Week.

2 polishes from the China Glaze Spring 2015 Road Trip

I only picked 2 up from the recent China Glaze Spring Collection:
Dashboard Dreamer,
3 coats + HK Girl TC.
Light blue with orange-pink shimmer.
I love the shimmer in this one.
Particularly when you're standing in the sun or under low lights,
it's really gorgeous.
However, both the polishes featured today were a pain in the butt to apply.
Both needed patience as you need to go slow with the brushstrokes.
Otherwise, you'll either have bald spots or a streaky mess on your nails.
Both polishes also needed that third coat to even things out too.
Trip of a Lime Time,
3 coats + HK Girl TC.
Yellow toned pea green.
It actually reminded me of yellowed endamame peas!

Spring Leaves

Another stamping nail art done using Born Pretty Store Plate BP-54:
Image taken off Born Pretty Store website.
Here is the link to the plate on Born Pretty Store's website.
And don't forget to use this coupon code BERRYG10 for a 10% discount off your purchase!
Polishes used:
China Glaze Trip of a Lime Time for the base colour,
dry-brushed with Essie Ruffles & Feathers and OPI That's Hula-rious,
stamped with Konad Princess Moss Green.

When I finally got the chance to get pictures,
it was already the third day of me wearing this manicure.
I must say, it wore pretty well.
In fact, this lasted me a good 5 days before it started chipping!
