Lunar New Year Week: OPI Deutsch You Want Me Baby?

Taking a quick time out from the preparations for the Lunar New Year to post this.
Here's my current manicure that I'm sporting for tonight's reunion dinner:

OPI Fall 2012 Germany Collection:
Deutsch You Want Me Baby?
2 coats + 1 coat Nubar Diamont TC.

Rust orange shimmer that just glows in the sun.
This one's gorgeous and I think it will be a perfect base for some glitters.

January's Haul

I did say earlier that I broke my no-buy big time right?
Here's the rest of what I bought:

My biggest Born Pretty purchase ever:

A huge pile of water decals.
Yeah. I'm in a water decal phase.
There were just too many cute, cool and pretty ones.
I couldn't get myself to pass any one up.

Some striping tape and nail art charms.
I thought I might give these charms a try,
even though I haven't been in the habit of sticking things on my nails.
Even those rhinestones and crystals have been infrequent features in my nail art,
but lets work on that this year.

Then I managed to get my hands on these Dance Legends Mist Way polishes during a recent Llarowe restock:
#04 Be Mine, #05 Get Bored, #06 Morning Dew, #08 Albion, and #09 Fog

And the only A-England that I wanted from the recent Ballerina collection:
Dancing with Nureyev,
plus a bottle of the basecoat.

I should have a last parcel of Colors by Llarowe coming soon.
I really hope they'll get here before the Lunar New Year holidays!

Lunar New Year Week: A-England Holy Grail

I've actually been waiting to do this post for a while.
It's not like I have a lot of old and re-vamped versions lying around in The Stash.

Holy Grail, the old version.
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.
Bright yellow gold.

Not exactly something I will wear on its own,
but great to have around for nail art.

Holy Grail, the new version.
2 coats + 1 coat HK Girl TC.
Burnished metallic gold with a wee bit of green shimmer.
Now this one is more to my liking.

Lunar New Year Week: Zoya trio

This year, on top of the Nail Art Weekend series,
I'm also going to try to do a theme week in each month.
Hopefully, in this way,
I'll get to go through The Stash a little bit quicker.

The Chinese Lunar New Year happens to fall in January this year.
Other than Christmas, the Chinese Lunar New Year, is my next favourite festival.
So I thought it'll be most apt to kick start this monthly theme week with the Lunar New Year,
and there's no better time than to feature all the traditional New Year hues of reds, pinks, oranges and golds.

Zoya Blaze,
from the Winter 2012 Ornate Collection.
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC
Red scattered holo.

I absolutely adore this one!
The holographic particles seem to blend in with the red base
and this gives it an unusual depth.
I wore this one for 3 full days and I was still reluctant to take it off.

Zoya Moxie,
from the Spring 2009 Twist Collection.
2 coats + 1 coat HK Girl TC.
Rich berry crème.

I love how Moxie is muted and bold at the same time.
Already decided that it shall be my Chinese New Year pedicure.

Zoya Sooki,
from the Summer 2011, Summertime Collection.
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.
Bright cherry red crème.

Nothing more apt for CNY than a hot red that just screams for attention.
