Nail Art Weekend: Little Twin Stars in Japan

My sincere apologies for the long overdue post.
Basically whatever could happen,
happened after I came back from Japan:
I had tons of assignments to clear,
I fell sick,
plus life's many other events including a wedding to attend.
Oh. And I broke my camera.
Which means its in the repair shop,
and there's no way I can get any pictures to post.
And my limited archives were almost depleted scheduling posts during my holiday.
Oh well. I'll see what I can work with in the meantime.
But don't expect too much until the camera's back.
Which according to the repairman, could be a month later.
*pulls hair in despair*
So anyway, for now, here's shots of my nails taken while on the streets of Kobe, Japan.
My favourite Sanrio characters,
no way I could resist having Little Twin Stars with me in Japan
I picked up more Little Twin Stars nail stuff while in Japan too.
Let me try and see if I can get pictures of my haul for another post k.

Colors by Llarowe: Single Ladies

I love this polish.
It's a polish with a really simple concept,
but it turned out so amazing.
I couldn't quit staring at it whenever I stood in the sun.
Colors by Llarowe Single Ladies,
2 coats + HK Girl TC.
Rainbow glitters in a black base.

Last 2 pictures were taken in the lift because I couldn't quit staring at them there too.

Dance Legend Rich Black Collection: Green Mamba

I first saw this polish online on Nihrida's blog, and knew I had to get my hands on it.
I don't have as pretty photos as those Nihrida posted,
but here's my version of Dance Legend's Green Mamba:
1 coat Green Mamba over A-England Camelot,
topped with HK Girl TC.
Love how those flakies shift from green to blue.

Zoya Pixie Dust: Nyx

Ok, it took me a really long time
before I decided to get my hands on a couple of the Pixie Dust polishes from Zoya.
In fact, if it wasn't for the really good prices offered at the Asia Beautyfair,
I doubt I'll own any at all even now.
All for the simple reason of loving my nails to be smooth and shiny.
I have to say though, I'm glad I picked them up.
I'm not saying I'll go gaga and start buying up all the textures out there in the market,
but I sure as well wouldn't mind a few more Pixie Dust polishes from Zoya in The Stash.
Zoya Nyx,
3 coats, no TC.
Love the soft muted blue-grey.

Nail Art Weekend: Wooden Blocks

Nowadays, whenever I'm in the mood for nail art, but don't really have the inspiration,
I resort to stickers, water decals or stamping.
This was done on one of those days.
Items used: OPI Did you 'ear about Van Gogh?,
Konad Brown polish,
and Moyou London Pro Collection image plate #03

China Glaze City Flourish Collection: Metro Pollen-Tin

By the time this post is up,
I should just be arriving at the Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan!
Yeah! I'm going spend the next 10 days holidaying in the Land of the Rising Sun!
Of course, I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for nail goodies during these 10 days as well!
It is afterall,
the land of kawaii or ostentatious nail art as well!
In the meantime, I've scheduled some posts while I'm away.
It's not a lot, since the weather refused to cooperate before I left.
However, when I'm back,
you guys can stay tuned for a Japan theme week!
China Glaze Metro Pollen-Tin from the recent City Flourish Collection,
3 coats + 1 coat HK Girl TC.
Yellow crème with a tinge of dusty.
It was also the hardest one for me out the collection worn so far.
You can even see where the polish is still lumpy despite all my carefulness.

Hated this one.

American Apparel Peacock

I haven't been able to get photos lately.
It either rains when I'm getting ready to photograph those nails,
or else the clouds or haze gets in the way.
So this one's from the archives:
AA Peacock,
2 coats + 1 coat HK Girl TC.
Teal crème.
