The start of the China Glaze City Florish Collection posts...

So I have the first half of the City Flourish collection,
and have already worn 5 of the 6 polishes by the time this post is being written.
The next half will be arriving in about another week's time,
so hopefully, I'll be able to get them all tried out,
and have a complete series of posts on the collection.

Well hopefully.
Since at this point in time,
I'm not particularly impressed with the 5 that I have already worn.
It seems like the 5 polishes come with a different matte finish that made application difficult.
Difficult but not impossible.

The 5 polishes that I've worn so far,
all seem to dry pretty quickly,
so much so, the coats can go on patchy.

What I've found helpful is this little routine:
1) Put on the first coat, and don't bother that its going on patchy
2) Wait for the first coat to dry completely
3) Put on a second thicker coat by "floating" it on top of the first coat.

If you are lucky, you'll be able to get away with 2 coats.
If not, you can repeat step 3 for a third coat.

I'll also recommend using Seche Vite TC or HK Girl TC on these too,
as I find that these topcoats have this ability to "blend away" the unevenness you may have.

Hopefully, this will help those of you who would love these pastel colours.
Now, onto the first 2 polishes to be posted:

In a Lily Bit,
3 coats + 1 coat HK Girl TC.
A very light lilac crème that is almost white.

Peonies & Park Ave,
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.
Bright pink crème that's almost neon.
