Butter London Two Fingered Salute

Since Trout Pout,
I've been buying up quite a bit of Butter London polishes.
Two Fingered Salute is the latest one that I purchased.
I got extremely excited when I saw it in our local Sephora.

3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC

Two Fingered Salute is a dusty, muted green with micro glitter that flashes pink-orange-copper. Seriously awesome sauce
and I loved it the minute it went on my nails.

OPI Euro Centrale Collection: You're such a Budapest

OPI Spring 2013 Euro Centrale Collection:
You're such a Budapest.
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.

Periwinkle-lilac crème with a very light dusting of silver shimmer.
The silver shimmer is so light,
you can hardly tell that it's there.

Initially I thought I would like this polish,
but for some reason,
I'm having second thoughts about it now.

Nail Art Saturday: Scallop Holo

For some reason,
most of the pictures I took for this set of nail art turned out terrible.
These were the only semi decent ones left from the entire crop.

Polishes used are:
Jade Delirio Rosa,
Jade Vermelho Surreal,
and OPI DS Exclusive.

My second attempt at scallop nails.
The first attempt was an absolute disaster.
And I had thought that this would be a simple design to do after watching tutorials.

Even then, with the second attempt,
I found that the tips ended up being very thick with all the layers.
Even though I used holos,
it was very difficult to dry.
In fact, I smudged the nail on my pinky like 3 hours after doing this!

Love the design,
but I gotta think of a way to resolve the matter of too thick layers.

Picture Polish Whimsy

One of the new Picture Polish New Collaboration shades today:
Whimsy,
a collaboration with Neverland Nail Blog

3 coats Whimsy + 1 coat HK Girl TC
Light blue base with strong gold flake-shimmer.

I wanted so much to have this one work on me.
I love bright light blues like this,
and the golden sheen was so lovely in the bottle.

Alas! I think golden sheens will never work for my skin tone.
I should probably just give up looking for that one perfect golden sheen.
*sob*

Nail Art Sunday: Pop stars

I was too busy yesterday,
and hence was not able to blog.
So Nail Art Saturday will be Nail Art Sunday for this week.

Apologies too for the crappier than usual pictures.
It was storming the day I wore this mani,
and I knew I couldn't wait any longer since the nail stickers were falling apart.

Items used:
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls,
China Glaze Tart-y for the Party,
China Glaze Sugar High,
Zoya Yummy,
Nail Art stickers from Etude House.

I have to say this is the first time I'm so disappointed in an Etude House product.
Their nail polishes have always been affordable and great,
but this particular set of nail art stickers was an absolute disappointment!

Some of the stars did not sit well and would not adhere properly to the polish base,
and some others fell off in less than 12 hours after application.

A pity.
I really liked this mani otherwise.
