Etude House Dear My Deep Color Nails: DGR704 Only Olive

Yay for clear skies!
The haze wonderfully cleared when this was done!

Another one from Etude House.
This one if from their Dear My Deep Color Collection:
DGR704 Only Olive.
3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC

This one reminds me of China Glaze Westside Warrior, but I ha
d purged my Westside Warrior so I can't do a side-by-side comparison.
The formula is a little thick with this one,
but I ain't sure if it was because I was doing this in a stuffy room.
I'll have to use this again soon to know.
But even if it really is thick,
I'm sure a couple drops of thinner will save this lovely polish.

Color Club 2012 Halo Hues: Harp on It

Another pretty polish that made me happier during these hazy days.

Last 2 pictures were taken in our apartment lift.

Color Club 2012 Halo Hues:
Harp on It.
2 coats over Nfu-Oh Aqua Base, no TC.

Awesome silver holo.

Etude House Dear My Party Nails: PPP503 Celeb Girl

How about a lovely blue polish to chase away those dreaded Monday Blues?

From the Etude House Dear My Party Nails collection:
PPP503 Celeb Girl.
3 coats + 1 coats Seche Vite TC

I love the milky periwinkle-blue jelly base of this polish.
Initially I thought it would be very sheer and worried if I would need multiple layers
(gonna dread the removal then),
but it was wonderfully opaque in 2 to 3 coats.

The mix of blue, turquoise and gold hex and square glitters in various sizes compliment the jelly base very well.
When I did the 3 layers,
I also loved how the glitters lie beneath the jelly base to create more depth in the polish.
The glitters lie flat on the nails,
so you don't have to worry about it snagging on something.

I love how Etude House delivers all this amazing glitter polishes at affordable prices.
Plus these Korean brands seem to have awesome quality control.
I don't have to worry about quality the same way I do for some of those indies.
Is it any wonder why I stalk the Etude House outlets here?

Nail Art Saturday: Orchids

Just to let you guys know,
I may not be able to get pictures to post regularly over the next few weeks.
Singapore is currently experiencing air pollution of incredible proportions.

For those of you who aren't as familiar,
forest fires in our neighbouring country Indonesia's Sumatra island
have sent plumes of acrid smoke across the seas to parts of Malaysia and us.
These forest fires are reported to be illegal blazes by companies and farmers
to clear their lands during their mid-year dry weather spells.

This year's is the worst haze pollution that's been recorded in our history,
and measurement indexes have reached levels of hazardous even.

I took some pictures of the apartments across the road at the beginning of this haze situation.
This was before it started looking like winter came to my country.
By now, I can barely see the same apartments (just the outline of them),
so it should give you guys a sense of how bad it is here right now.

*Sigh*
Maybe I should consider some fiery nail art during this period.
Seems apt for it.

Today's nail art is one that I've done before and am re-visiting.
The pictures were taken at the beginning of this haze situation.
The sun was being filtered out,
hence the less than stellar pictures.

Items used:
Base colour - OPI Princesses Rule!
Flowers - OPI Vodka and Caviar, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and Essence Black is Back
Gold stripes - China Glaze Blonde Bombshell
White dots - OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls
and some random sequins here and there.

I loved this set,
made me happy to look down on blooming orchids in the midst of this haze.

Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor: It's all about the Glam

Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors:
It's all about the Glam.
3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.

Last pic was taken in my apartment lift.

It's all about the Glam is a sparkly white polish that looks clean and bright.
In the bottle, the sparkles look blue and pink,
but translates silverish on the nails instead.
As with most white polish, this one streaks,
so a third coat is much needed.

I'm not one for the Kardashian dramas,
but hell, this polish sure is pretty.

Chanel Taboo

Initially, I thought I would have difficulties tracking this polish down.
There was a period of time when it wasn't clear whether Chanel Taboo would ever reach Singapore shores.
Thankfully, it finally did.
I dragged my colleague along to the Chanel boutique at Ion when news of its launch date was released,
and put myself on the reservation list.
And when the day finally arrived,
I dragged the same colleague back to the store with me to get it.

So here it is in all its glory.
Chanel Taboo, 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC

And too many photos of it.
*grins*
