Illamasqua Radium + Lynnderella New Year's Eve Eve

Illamasqua Radium.
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.
Radioactive lime green with a bit of shimmer when the sun hits it.
And here's the polish that I thought would be most apt to be featured today:

topped with Seche Vite TC.

Party on the nails!

Weekend Nail Art: Xmas Grunge

Here's my actual nails I did for Christmas Day itself.
I did go back to using Christmas colours,
but decided I wanted a more grunge feel
and so tried my hand at doing distressed nails ala Chalkboard Nails style.
The end result was a hell lot better than what the pictures show.
(It was after rain when I finally got to take these photos)
I really loved it,
and it was a really simple nail art to do.
Polishes used were:
China Glaze Ruby Pumps,
China Glaze Emerald Sparkle,
and A England Holy Grail (old version).

Missha The Style Crystal Nail Polish Gemstone: #3 Peridot

Even though Korean brands are quite easily available here in Singapore,
Missha was one that never really caught my attention.
In fact, I only have 4 Missha bottles in The Stash currently,
and these were only recently obtained.
Today's post features one of the 4 Missha bottles.
Missha The Style Crystal Nail Polish Gemstone Collection:
#3 Peridot.
Peridot consists of green, gold and orange-red glitters in a light green-tinted base.
I thought the colours were quite apt for the festive season.
1 coat Peridot over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls,
topped with a coat of HK Girl TC.
My mom actually went gaga over the resulting green-tint base that you see on the nails,
and demanded for a polish with just that light green hue.
Unfortunately, I don't think there's one right in the market?

Oh Christmas Tree!

Merry Christmas everyone!
Hopefully all of you had a good Christmas Eve.
Mine was a quiet and peaceful one,
which was thoroughly appreciated as I really needed some down-time.
And that also gave me some time for a little bit of Christmas nail art.
This time round, I wanted something abstract.
Plus to be honest,
I was a little sick of the red and green theme I kept seeing around.
So, I ended up with the most un-Christmas-like Christmas nail art:
Accent abstract Christmas tree nail art using striping tape and a star glitter
on OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.
And I thought it would be apt to paint the rest of the nail with CbL Oh Christmas Tree.
Yep. Totally rocked this set of nails on Christmas Eve!

I broke my No-Buy...

Ok. So I lasted for about a month.
Which isn't too bad.
I could have gone longer I guess,
but I just couldn't resist these Colors by Llarowe:
Holly, Oh Christmas Tree, Coal in my Stocking,
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Woman from Tokyo and Paper Moon.
I also bought 1 more glitter polish from The Face Shop.
I'll post that one soon.

Color Club 2012 Winter Affair Collection: Gift of Sparkle

Good lord! This is one polish which I'm going to have trouble describing.
The last one I have from Color Club's 2012 Winter Affair Collection:
Gift of Sparkle.
2 coats + 1 coat HK Girl TC.
This is one glitter polish that has so much going on all at once.
You get a dominant blue-purple base colour,
then a bunch of red, turquoise, purple glitters that sparkled like mad in the sun.
And it seemed that's not enough for it to live up to its name.
Color Club had to throw in more holographic glitters just to add to the rainbow bling.

Not your typical holiday polish,
but hell. It's awesome.
