My nails in Hong Kong

Here's what I had on my nails while in Hong Kong:
OPI Spring 2010 Hong Kong Collection:
Jade is the New Black,
3 coats + 1 coat SV
Dusty jade green crème.
Love this one loads.
I wore this in an earlier trip to Hong Kong,
and thought I should do it again.

Essie Summer 2013 Naughty Nautical Collection:
Sunday Funday,
2 coats + 1 coat SV
Bright coral pink with a subtle shimmer.
This one was so bright and cheerful,
it caught the attention of the sales girl whom I bought a couple of Zoyas from.

Halloween Glitters: A Box, Indied: Jindie Nails Screaming Halloween

I did say that I loved Halloween releases right?
So when Llarowe announced that the very first theme for her subscription box was Halloween,
I was sold and determined to get my hands on it.
Yeah, I didn't even check out all the swatches or which brands were involved.
I just saw a couple of them and then dived straight in.

Ok. I kinda regret that now.
I need to keep my buys down,
and those in the October box aren't exactly that spectacular
or are they polishes that I would consider must-haves.
And since I am in desperate need to keep my polish count down,
some of them are going to have to go.
The first one to catch my eye from the box:
Jindie Nails Screaming Halloween.
3 coats + 1 coat HK Girl TC
This is my first time trying a polish from Jindie Nails,
and I guess its ok.
Screaming Halloween is a mustard crelly
with glitters in the shapes of crescents, stars, hexagons, circles and diamonds,
and a bit of shimmer to it.
Glitter colours included neon green, black, orange and purple.
Unfortunately, as you can tell from my photos,
I couldn't get any of those stars, crescents and diamonds onto those 4 nails.
It's not that they just existed in the bottle,
but for some reason, those glitters just landed on nails other than the 4 photographed.
So if you are someone who's insistent on ensuring all glitters were represented on most nails,
then you're probably better off fishing for them and then dabbing them on.
The strange mustard colour was what caught my attention,
though it probably won't work with most skin tones.
Serious I think it's best on zombies,
but it does grow on you.
I had it on for 2 days, and by the end of the second day,
I was a little reluctant to remove it.

Colors by Llarowe haul

My CbL haul finally arrived.
I think I woke up in the middle of the night, just to make sure I got my hands on these.
I can't exactly recall since I was up for polishes on a few different nights.
At least I still got these,
EPs are a completely different story of frustration.
Tank Tops & Flip Flops,
Dirty Diana,
All Bidness,
Beat It, and
Gizzards & Lizards.

Nail Art Saturday: Halloween Eyes

Hey guys! So sorry for the week of non-posts.
I came back from Hong Kong to exciting news:
My organisation has agreed to second me to another job position!
Hopefully with this new opportunity,
I will be able to learn more and further develop my professional self!
With this pending move, I've been busy since I returned from my holiday,
and haven't had time to edit photos or blog during the weekdays.
Posts should be back to normal now though.
In addition, I will likely be doing several blog sales over the next few weeks.
I have a portion of The Stash in the office,
and will definitely need to clear some away to facilitate my moving.
As it is, my colleagues are wondering how the hell I'm going to pack everything up.
My work space is like a mini war zone with papers, snacks, nail polishes and soft toys.

So just watch out for blog sales coming up k!
So nail art for this weekend:
The last photo was my attempt to capture a pic in "spookier light conditions".
Erm... Not exactly very successful.

This set of cutsie Halloween eyes was done immediately upon return from Hong Kong.
It's a really quick and simple nail art,
and one that still caught quite a bit of attention.

Pls excuse the cuticles though.
As usual, they needed a bit of time to recuperate from changes in weather conditions.
Plus, it was pretty cloudy the day I got those photos taken.
Polishes used were:
A-England Camelot, and
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls

Hong Kong Haul

I'm back!
No nail art or swatch posts though,
I didn't have time for nail art or get any photos ready.
Instead, here's pictures of what I brought back with me from Hong Kong:
Initially, I had no clue as to where these polishes were from.
It was only after Google,
that I realised that I had managed to pick up 2 different collections from The Face Shop.
Lovely Me: Ex Yogurt Nails Collection:
04 Lemon Candy Yogurt, and
05 Strawberry Milk Yogurt.
Now that I've seen the online pictures of this Lovely Me: Ex Yogurt Nails Collection,
I feel like I want them all!
Face It Coloured Paper Nails Collection:
CMX321 Tropical Candy, and
CMX322 Lovely Pop.
Then I happened to chance on a shelf of random Estessimo TINS:
048 The Fancy Iceberg,
038 The Maharaja Palace,
014 The Juicy Banana,
408 Ma Cherie, and
029 The Surf Boy.
From a new-to-me Korean brand Hope Girl :
Nail Travel Bling Bling Set in 07 Blue Soda.
2 Zoya polishes that have eluded me in Singapore:
Lotus and Aurora.
Lastly, the OPI Mariah Carey Pure 18K White Gold and Silver Top Coat.
This one set me back quite a bit,
but as I had some trouble getting the previous gold leaf top coat version,
I thought I might as well get it when I see it.
OK. I damn well overspent in Hong Kong.
Which means I going to go through The Stash to cull out items to purge again.
Darn the next credit card bill.

OPI Spring 2010 Hong Kong Collection: Meet Me on the Star Ferry

Another one from the Hong Kong Collection:
OPI Meet Me on the Star Ferry
3 coats + 1 coat SV
Frost-shimmer brown toned purple foil.

Liked it more in the bottle than on my nails.
