OPI 2001 Beach Party Collection: Strawberried in the Sand

Apologies for the lack of posts all week,
but I never realised how terribly busy and tired I would become with the renovations going on at home.
Plus I did something incredibly stupid.
I misplaced the cable that transfers the pics in my camera to my laptop.
I have the feeling that somehow,
I threw it out in the midst of packing up all my stuff into boxes.
Which means post for today is still something dragged out of the emergency archives.
(Damn. That emergency folder is running really really low.)
An oldie from the 2001 OPI Beach Party collection:
OPI Strawberried in the Sand.
3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.

And I also have it layered over Lippmann Devil in a Blue Dress.

Taiwan Haul

I'm back from my holiday!
Had a blast in Taiwan and we promised we will be back again next year!

That said, I might still not be able to post often.
The dreaded home renovations has started.
It's been either a sandstorm or a dust-storm at home,
and it has triggered a horrid sinus reaction as well.

I'll still try to post whenever I can.
For today though, I'm going to show you guys what I hauled back from Taiwan.
It's a much better haul compared to last year.
Interestingly, I wasn't watching out for them unlike last year.

I guess that's life,
when you look for something, it doesn't appear.
But when you stop looking for it, it's everywhere.
Same with buses.
When you are late, the bus never arrives.
But when you don't need the bus, it just keeps coming.
(Well, that's what I told my boss today).

Pupa Lasting Color in #811, #812, #810 and #809

Pupa Holographic Nail Polish in #035 and #032
I feel like I'm going to regret putting back the pink one...

Nature Republic in #AGBK001, #ASGR601, #AGRD503 and #AGMT002.
The last 2 had labels which indicated that its from a "Fly to the Moon" Limited Edition collection.

Ciate Paint Pots in #087 Glametal, #072 Twilight and #108 Spending Spree.
I had to get the last one since it completely described my Taiwan trip! Haha!

Faceshop #BK901.
Tony Moly Lacquer in #GI09 and #GI04

And lastly, ice cream cones from Etude House!
#4 and #3,
these were the 2 colours that I didn't see in our Singapore stores.

There were more,
but I couldn't get more as I was over-spending and running out of luggage space!

Etude House Dear My Party Nails: PPK005 Cocktail Dress

Etude House released a pretty awesome set of glitter polishes called Dear My Party Nails.
I got all but one from this collection,
but I'm definitely thinking of going back for the last one.
Here's the first one from this collection:
PPK005 Cocktail Dress.
Yeah, I managed to google the names for these polishes.

1 coat PPk005 Cocktail Dress over 2 coats China Glaze Fade into Hue,
topped with 1 coat Seche Vite TC.
Pink, rose-pink, white and silver glitters in various shapes.
There's the usual hexagons, bar and square glitters in this one.
Glitter pay-off is really good with just 1 coat,
but it needs the goop-and-spread method.
This combination is an eye-catcher for sure.
I received no less than 5 compliments on this mani,
from strangers no less!

Autism Awareness Month: Color Club Over the Moon

Here's my contribution for Autism Awareness Month:
Color Club Over the Moon.
2 coats over Nfu-Oh Aqua Base, no TC.
Too many pictures of a too gorgeous polish.

I work in a juvenile correctional facility,
and issues like this are close to my heart.
I was just sharing with my team the other day about Autism Awareness Month,
and you know what stunned me?
The very next working day,
those who had read the app messages all turned up for work in blue!

How awesome is that!
We took a group picture as well just to memorialise the day.

Spring Date

A simple set of nail art that I wore on a movie date.
We caught Oz, the Great and Powerful,
but don't ask me why I didn't use any of the Oz OPIs.
I don't know myself
*scratchs head*
I took these photos in the mid-day sun,
and after a vigorous cleaning session.
So please excuse the harsh redness and dry skin.

Items used:
China Glaze Fade into Hue,
OPI My Boyrfriend Scales Walls
and silver sequins.

It's a lot nicer in real life.

China Glaze Lemon Fizz vs Orly Lemonade

Another comparison post.
I'm pretty sure this was done to help me decide which one to purge.
China Glaze Lemon Fizz vs Orly Lemonade

Middle and pinky fingers: China Glaze Lemon Fizz
Ring and index fingers: Orly Lemonade.
All were done using 2 coats with 1 coat Seche Vite TC.

Exact dupes,
but Lemon Fizz had a much better formula.
