Estessimo TINS #603 Mom's Kilim

I've been in the mood to pick out those Asian polishes sitting around in the stash.
I realise I have quite a bit of TINS,
but for some strange reason, never got around to wearing them.
And I haven't done a TINS glitter gradient in a long long time,
so that one should be coming up soon.
However, for today,
I just have a swatch of a TINS that isn't the usual glitter bomb the brand is known for.
#603 Mom's Kilim
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC
Mom's Kilim is a sheer peach-pink with gold flecks.
I do recall this one being built up to opacity in 4 coats.
I only did 2 coats here as I didn't really like the colour on me.
Heh. There's a reason why it was in the purge.

OPI Azure for Sure

Quickie post here.
I need to run back to catch my Korean drama.
I was never interested in the K-Fever that swept across Singapore,
and never really bothered with any K-drama.
But this one is funny, cute and romantic all at once.
So I want to quickly finish my first ever K-drama.
I can't be crying and laughing too often on the way to work all the time.
So the nails for today: OPI Azure for Sure
3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC
Pretty and bright aqua blue with a hint of shimmer that reminds me of swimming pools.
There's also a very very subtle hint of pinkish-purple duochrome that's more apparent indoors.
Next set of 6 photos were taken indoors.

Blue French Mani

I have a bit of time today before leaving for work,
so here's a quick post of yesterday's nails.
French manicure using striping tape,
base colour was Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Sheer Ivory,
tips were done in China Glaze Man Hunt.
Well, I kinda figured no one would be really interested in a boring swatch of Sheer Ivory,
hence I just decided to jazz things up to make everyone happier
(myself included).
Though on hindsight,
I should have done one accent nail in red.
Then it would have looked sailor-ish.

Color Club Holo Hues: Cherubic

I've been doing a little catch up on nail blogs recently,
and came across posts on the Color Club Holo Hues,
which reminded me that I actually had ordered these as well.
Amazing what work stress can do to your life.
Anyway, I went to dig them out from the corner I had unceremoniously chucked them to,
and randomly picked one for the nails.
Color Club Cherubic.
2 coats over Nfu-Oh Aqua Base, no TC.
Cherubic is a pinkish-tan nude with strong linear holo.
Personally, I think the bottle should come with a warning,
you know, like the ones on flu medication?
"May cause distraction. Do not operate machinery or drive when used".

The holo is freakingly beautiful.
One taxi-driver actually had to ask me twice for directions
just because I was too busy staring at those rainbows.
I've since read that these holos are fuss-free and can be used with normal base and top coats.
Guess I'm going to experiment with the next Holo Hue.

China Glaze Avant Garden Collection: Keep Calm, Paint On

I walked past the latest China Glaze Avant Garden collection just yesterday,
and this one caught my eye.
It was the name that sold it though.
How could I resist one that so aptly describes a polish addict?!
Keep Calm, Paint On.
You got it right China Glaze!
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC

Keep Calm, Paint On is a cross between robin egg blue and mint candy green,
with a tinge of grey,
and a sheen of silver shimmer.
Quite an interesting one.
I can't say I like the formula of the polish though.
I felt like I was putting on chalk paste.
It was slightly easier to manage when I slapped on thicker coats,
but I definitely felt like I was white-washing my nails
the same way I white-washed my walls a few years back.
