Halloween Nail Art: Candy Corn Variations

Sorry for the late post today.
I wanted to get pictures of my Halloween mani today,
so I could only get everything done now.
Variation 1 of Candy Corn:
Use of Girly Bits Candy Corn
Polishes used in this tape manicure:
OPI Vodka and Caviar, and
OPI Black Onyx.
Topped with 1 coat of Girly Bits Candy Corn,
and sealed with a coat of Seche Vite TC.

I kinda thought it looked like some ghoul threw up his mouthful of candy corn all over my nails.
Loved this one,
but after a while,
I kinda thought this wasn't Halloween enough.
So I re-did my nails.
Regretted it though.
Candy Corn tape manicure.
By the way, the pictures for this mani were taken under my office's florescent lights.
It rained the whole day today,
so I couldn't get any sun pictures.
Polishes used were:
OPI Osaka-to-Me Orange,
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and
Essence #23 Sundancer.
It was seriously late by the time I got this done,
and I was too tired to wait for it to dry a little.
Hence my TC kinda smeared the colours a little.
Unfortunately, as candy corn isn't exactly common in Singapore,
only 1 person recognised this manicure for what it was.
Epic fail.

Nubar Going Green Collection: Reclaim

I hope you guys aren't sick of green polish yet,
but I promise this one will be the last green polish post for this week!

The last of the Nubar Going Green Collection:
Last picture was taken in the apartment lift.
2 coats of Reclaim over Nubar Foundation Base Coat,
no TC.
Grass green holo.
The holo effect in this one is linear,
but nowhere as strong as GOSH or FNUG.
I remember being supremely excited when this collection came out,
because it's the first time I saw a grass green holo.
There's been several other shades of green holos,
but I don't recall any other grass green holos put out by major brands since this one either.
A must-keep in my opinion.

Indie of the Month: Candeo Colors Plumage

Indie of the Month:
Candeo Colors Plumage
1 coat Plumage over the Golden Rose #37 mani featured in yesterday's spam post,
topped with a coat of Seche Vite TC.
This was the first combination that I tried Candeo Colors Plumage with,
and I absolutely hated it.
I had thought that Plumage was bound for the purge,
until I gave it another shot.
1 coat Plumage over Nubar Greener,
topped with a coat of Seche Vite TC.
Don't you agree that this is a hell lot better?
Redeemed itself enough that it was saved from the purge bag.

Saturday Spam: Green Ribbons!

I didn't realise that I had swatched mostly polishes with numbers this week!
Zoya Irene.
3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC
Olive green shimmer.
The only one I swatched this week that didn't have numbers.
Golden Rose Paris Magic Nail Color Nail Lacquer #37.
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.
Sparkly green foil.
Essence Multi-Dimension #53 All Access.
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.
Velvety deep blue-green shimmer.
I had initially put this one into the purge bag.
It's now back in The Stash.
Golden Rose Paris Nail Lacquer #86.
3 coats + 1 coats Seche Vite TC.
Neon green jelly.
Actually I hesitated a little in calling it neon.
For some reason, there is a "softness" to the bright hue.
But yeah, eventually decided its bright enough to fall under the neon category.
Soft, squishy neon green.
Like goo.
Nfu-Oh #125.
3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC.
Another olive green shimmer,
but this one has an overall gold sheen that makes it stand out.
Another one which I moved back from the purge bag to The Stash.
