Etude House Cocktail Syrup Nail Kit in Sunshine Bronze.

It's been a while since

I got down to some nail art.
Yeah. Realised that after colleagues pointed out that they missed my nail art.
wow.

Unfortunately, we've been having some really gloomy weather here.
I haven't been able to get decent pictures at all.
So these were just taken in the office while the storm raged outside.
I couldn't wait anymore,
or more, the mani couldn't wait anymore.
It was starting to want to chip =)

Base is Orly Sky-Blue Pink,
tips were done in Cutex Huckleberry
and those swirly lines were done using pink acrylic paint.

A little outta practice already.
The lines I drew with the non-dominant hands were really awful.
Need to practice again =)

By the way,
I'll be posting about August's purge tomorrow.
It should be up by 9 am (Sg time)

OPI I Lily Love You

From one of the recent Nice Stems release:
OPI I Lily Love You

1 coat of I Lily Love You over the previous Revlon Sublime Strawberry mani

Before I even got hold of this polish,
I knew it would definitely be a Top 20 contender.

Sheer pink base (lost over the Sublime Strawberry base)
with awesome chunky glitter.

Though I don't think glitter is the right word here actually.
Its got huge opalescent flakes mixed in with smaller multi-shaped glitters.
Really awesome.

2 peeves though:
1) Its harder to make some of the bigger flake pieces lie flat on the nails.
A couple of them insist on popping off.
2) This one is a lot harder than the normal glitter polishes to remove.
Yeah. Even with the foil method.

Revlon Sublime Strawberry

New to Singapore but already out eons ago elsewhere.
Revlon's Fruitful Temptations Collex: Sublime Strawberry
Its scented when dry.

3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC

I first saw this on NB,
and lusted after it.
So you can imagine how happy I was when it appeared in Singapore.

This one has a sweet strawberry scent when dry.
Reminded me of some of the scented erasers I used to buy when I was a little kid in school.
Nothing too cloying,
so that's good since I don't always react well to scents.

What I do like is the silver mirco glitter in this one.
Sparkles real pretty when in the sun

Was a Top 20
but has since dropped outta the running.

Essie Demure Vixen

My bottle pic for this one are horrible.
None turned out accurate,
so I skipped that.

3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite

I like how Essie jazzed this one up with a purple shimmer tone

This is one of the nudes that I would turn to if I had to meet with a conservative group at work.

Nude, work appropriate and yet pretty

Urban Decay Cult

Old school Urban Decay Cult.
I was very fortunate to be gifted with this bottle in a swap
Its a little hard to find,
although I have seen it pop up on ebay a couple of times

3 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite TC

In the pics, it comes across as being more blue.
IRL, it pulls green most of the time though on me skintone.
I suspect its cos of the gold flecks

heh. This one's a top 20 contender,
but I think its going to be kicked out soon.
Particularly if the official top 20 is still a while to go.

I love the old school urban decay bottles though.
Hate the new teeny weeny ones urban decay now comes out with.
WTH.
Hey guys over at UD:
Its pointless to come up with tons of colours if they're all going to be itsy bitsy yah.

By the way,
am I the only one around who finds it hard to narrow down a top 20 list?
There are times when I can't decide whether to keep or remove a certain polish from there.
Its so much easier to manage a top 46 list.
lol

Lippmann Happy Birthday

One top 20 contender,
which I purposely saved for my birthday

What else would have been more apt than Lippmann Happy Birthday?

1 coat Happy Birthday over 3 coats of Lippmann Devil in a Blue Dress
+ 1 coat Seche Vite TC

Also known as "clown barf" on NB
You can understand why.

Such a happy looking carnival.
I do happen to have its supposed NYX dupe,
so I may do a comparison one day

But I'm more keen to try it over a pink jelly ala the new Lippmann version Candy Shop.
Was thinking OPI Sugar Cookie Pink might be a good candidate for that.
You guys agree?

Otherwise, clown barf makes me happy.
lol.
