February Purge

Purge rules as follows:

Prices indicated are in USD.
As I'm down in Singapore, I definitely am open to shipping international.
Its just that you will have to give me time to get you a shipping quote.

For fellow Singaporeans, shipping will be $0.80 for the 1st bottle.
Subsequent bottles will be charged at additional $0.40.
Registered mail (for tracking) will be at additional charge of $2.30

For international buyers, payment will be paypal only.
Locals, you have additional option of POSB transfer.

I'm also open to swapping,
and the former practice still stands;
i.e. You can swap 1 bottle of yours to 2 -3 bottles from me.

However as I really have to downsize,
please do take note that I'm currently mostly Wishlist Only.
You can still offer others if not on my wishlist,
but don't get offended if I reject the offer k.

Purge will be done on a 1st come 1st serve basis.
Please indicate using the comments section which are the ones that you are interested in.
This helps to give everyone a clear sense of what's still available.
Please also do remember to leave me an email so that I can contact you re your purchases or swaps k.

Essence You're the One

Essence You're the One.
Had to attend a Court session at work.
Hence I had to opt for a safer colour.
Attending court is the only time at work that I can't get away with "fanciful nails"

2 coats + 1 coat Poshe

If not for the formula, I could have gotten away with 1 thick coat.
Polish was a tad goopy, and I needed the 2nd thicker coat to even it out.

Note that the colour is more accurate in the indoor pic below though.

Just a side note,
I'm going to do my Feb purge tomorrow.
Will be working on the post later
and it should be scheduled for tomorrow at 10 am Singapore time.
So keep an eye out for it tomorrow.

Also I've been having fun with the Feb Valentine name theme.
No worries, I'm not going to continue that.
But I was thinking of doing another theme for March
So which one do you guys prefer:
a spring theme or HTF? Or any other suggestions?

Sally Hansen Royal Romance

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Royal Romance.

2 coats + 1 coat Poshe

Plum colour with gold shimmer.
Was the gold shimmer that caught my eye,
otherwise I would have given this one a miss at the store

Unfortunately I hate the colour on my nails.

And I didn't like the application either.
The brush picked up either too much or too little of the polish
And the formula wasn't the best; kinda runny and goopy at the same time

Had a harder time trying to control both polish and brush.
Guess it might be obvious from the pics,
not my best application.

Needless to say, it was off in 1 day

OPI Cherry Much in Love

Quick post.
Just got home and I'm beat.

OPI Cherry Much in Love.
Yep still continuing with the Feb Valentine theme

2 coats + 1 coat Poshe TC

Multi-colour glitter suspended in cherry jelly.
Or the new term for it now; sorbet.

No issues about application,
but dries a little bumpy to the touch.
Just a tad little. Nothing to serious.

Can't make up my mind whether I like this though.
Yay? Nay?

Possibly My Fave Nail Art

Remember the spotted funky french I did for V-day?
And that I said I wanted to try a blue-green full mani version?

Well, I really think this one could be my fave!

Used quite a bit of polishes for this set:
Color Club Gossip Column,
Color Club Wild Child,
Essie Mesmerize,
Essie Pretty Edgy,
Essie Shelter Island,
Essie Turquoise and Caicos, and
OPI I Love Mummy
(EDIT: Apologies, got the original one wrong)

Pretty cool don't you think?
hmmm.... now which other colours should I try?
A brown-gold combi? Black-white-grey? or a Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday version?

GOSH Black Passion

GOSH Black Passion
My only bottle from the GOSH brand

2 coats + 1 coat Poshe TC

do you gals ever get that one polish that you hope you'll love
but somehow it just doesn't seem to "click" with you?

Out of the blue, I hunted down this lone bottle of GOSH polish being sold.
Having heard so much about this brand from NB and other blogs,
I was so hopeful and grabbed it without a thought.

That was almost a year ago.

Each time I put it aside as the "next mani",
something would come along in the mail that became that "next mani"

Finally when I put it on,
I smudged at least 2 of my fingers... twice.

And within less than 24 hours of the mani,
I broke a nail trying to move the office furniture around for a meeting.

Maybe its just not meant to be.

Happy Valentine's Day

I can't remember if I saw this design from somewhere,
or whether it's something that I came up with.
Whatever it was, this was a design that I had in mind for quite some time
and was saving it for V-day

Polishes used for this set:
Orly Bare Rose (base colour),
OPI Alphine Snow,
OPI Strawberry Margarita,
OPI Vodka and Caviar, and
P2 Fever

And here's the V-day funky french mani:

This one isn't that hard to do really; its just random dotting.
I kinda like this,
and am going to try doing a blue-green full nail version of this soon!

Happy V-day gals!

OPI Romeo and Joliet

OPI Romeo and Joliet
After Vedra pointed out that Julia is the German way of spelling Juliet,
I went to google about Joliet.

Joliet is a city in the state of Illinois
So I guess it fits since OPI Romeo and Joliet is part of the Route 66 collex.

2 coats + 1 coat Poshe

Essence Romeo + Julia

Although I really do believe that Essence meant Juliet,
just that they spelt her name wrong.

Its interesting though;
the OPI bottle that I have also spelt Juliet different

Essence Romeo
When I first got this one, I didn't pay much attention to it really
cos I was more wow-ed by the other polishes that came together with it.
Might even have overlooked this one if not for the Valentine theme

2 gorgeous coats sans TC.
I generally shy away from metallic silvers,
cos they make my hands look weird.
But this one is perfect.
Application was a breeze too.
Up till now, Essence has never given me problems in application.

The signficant other: Julia
or Juliet as I'm prone to say

Added 2 coats of Juliet... I mean Julia + Poshe TC

Loved this combi
I don't think I have much square shaped glitters.
The ones I have are usually round or hexagonal so I have no idea if the shape reflected more light
Its almost like having disco lights on your nails.

heh... I would walk along the streets and stare at them
Hands got grabbed a few times too by people who complimented that this one was really pretty

For those of you who are still unaware,
BHG at Bugis brought some Essence polish and make-up in.
Unfortunately these are only promotional and will only be around till 20 Feb.
Polishes are either $2.90 or $3.90
and their make-up is pretty cheap too!
I got a black eye-liner for only $4.90 and its been pretty decent!

Stocks are running out fast though.
The entire Metallics range was cleared out by the time I got my butt there
So hurry and grab some before they're all gone.
