Tins #041 The Prestige Champagne

Tins #041 The Prestige Champagne.
A totally work appropriate glitter
that was a pain in the ass to photograph.
Basically my camera couldn't take the bling.

Here it is in sunlight:
3 coats + 1 coat OPI Rapidry TC

This one's a little on the sheer side.
If that bothers you, I suspect a 4th coat would make it okay.
I didn't want to deal with a P.I.T.A. removal so I stuck with 3 =)

The indoor pics.
Still sparkly

and lastly the night shots.
They kinda look washed out against the background though...

I tried to do a video as well.
And this one gives you a pretty decent idea how my camera just wonked out with all that bling.

Beauty Credit GN06

Beauty Credit GN06
For those of you who have never heard of Beauty Credit,
this is yet another Korean brand.
Its less well-known as compared to Skinfood or Etude House,
but definitely cheaper (in Singapore) and the quality is comparable.

Check out the holo of this one.
The colour is more accurate in the 2 night shots below
but I seriously believe my camera got bling-ed out by the holo-goodness of this one.

In case you were wondering, this one is 3 coats. No TC.
I finally read somewhere that by not putting TC on holo-polishes,
the holo-rainbow is a lot more apparent.
Somehow this never occurred to me. All that lost holo bling-ness
*slaps hand against forehead*

and I just had to do a video for this one =)

Inspiration for my current nail art.
This one is from a Japanese Nail Art magazine, Nail Up

Well, I kinda modified it a little.
Thought it would be a kick to use the black and silver holos from the Skinfood range
and black and silver striping tape instead

I kinda like this and it reminds me of the perceptual tests that we learnt about during psychology class back in my grad days.

Taken in the shade.
heh... the 2 accent nails are cos I'm lazy and didn't want to fight with the striping tape for all 5 fingers =P

and lastly the night shot with camera flash

ok another announcement:
I won't be having a purge for July.
Most of the stuff that I have been swatching this month would be going into 4 different swaps.
As for August, I'm not too sure if there would be a purge either.
Its my birthday month and I've already set aside special polishes to make myself happy =P

HOWEVER, I will be having a giveaway on the 13th (my birthday).
I haven't decided how it's going to be yet,
but I definitely intend to make it a one-day only thing.
So just a heads-up to all my readers and followers to rememeber to check stuff out on the 13th k =)

Sally Hansen Lavender Sky over Manhattan #710T

Old NOTD that I didn't post earlier cos I took too many pics
and had a hard time trying to sift out the better ones.
As it is, I still have a lot of pics in this post =P

Used a base of Manhattan #710T

Re-post of the swatch pic in case you've forgotten how it looks like.

Added a coat of Sally Hansen Nail Prisms in #19 Lavender Sky

Result was a lovely shimmering multi-chrome; teal, green, pink, purple.
I'll just let the pictures show you how errily lovely this one is...

Took these early morning

and then the morning sun really came blasting through...

These were taken right after lunch break
(yeah... sometimes, I really do haul my camera everywhere I go)

In the shade while waiting for a cab

Inside the cab

Played with the camera flash as well while being driven to destination.

Took one at night without the camera flash as the different colours came out better this way.

and then one with the flash.

Got bored and took out my Nubar V for Men Matte
and put it to use...

Left the ring glossy for accent.

Can't decide which I prefer - glossy or matte
but its something fun =)

OPI Swiss Collection

Ok, this one's just a quick announcement:
Fellow countrywomen(or men, if you're also interested),
the OPI Swiss Collection is already out in-stores.
In fact, I was told that it was already out a couple of days back.

I have 2 on their way to me now, Yodel Me on My Cell and Cuckoo for This Colour.
But after seeing the bottles in real life, Diva of Geneva is probably next on my purchase list

New Moon

Heh. Nothing to do with vampires or werewolves.
Though I really do like that book series.
Instead, I wanted to try out a different version of the half-moon mani

Polishes used are:

Orly Bare Rose
Do I need to remind you how much I love this one?

OPI mini Witch's Arm

U&A #8012

and the current NOTD:

hmmm... after I finished with this,
I had the idea that I could do a rainbow version of the ruffian...
all I need is time now...
